Outfit - The Ombre Top

I'm not a regular sales shopper but I am likely to pick a few bits out of the winter sales, they are always better anyway! I haven't gone crazy with sales shopping because personally I love the new stock that's coming into stores, but seeing as it's still really cold and a lot of the newer stock is very spring/summer for obvious reasons it felt stupid not to have a look at the sales.

Outfit - Transeasonal Green

A few days after writing my last blog I went into town and spent some money on clothes! Yay. I tried on quite a bit in Topshop and came out with a few bits, which was quite nice. I decided to buy clothes which I could easily wear throughout winter as well as the rest of our summer.

This dress is just perfect for this. The colour, the shape, the fabric - perfect. Oh and the price! This basic green high neck dress was only £20, which in my mind is a bargain, seeing as I will happily wear this ALL THE TIME. It is ultimately comfortable, the colour is the best kind of green you can get - in my opinion - and the neck line is just well great.

I don't have any flat summer shoes, which aren't converse or vans, so I decided black boots will do today. It wasn't too hot so I guessed these would pass as ok footwear for summer. In my eyes boots are always ok to wear - ok maybe not when it's so hot that you melt as soon as you leave the house...that is my exception.

Outfit - Sixties Swing Dress

Dress - Warehouse £26
Jacket - Topshop old
Boots - Topshop old
Satchel - Primark old

It may not be spring yet, but myself like many of you are lusting over the new clothes that are coming into the shops. I recently found this dress in warehouse and I fell in love instantly!
It is perfect.
You literally can not go wrong with stripes and this dress is no exception. The high neck is so flattering, as well as the swing style with short sleeves so basically it could not get any better.

Red lip and stripes, need I say more?

I decided to wear a red lipstick with this outfit as I feel that the dress needs a red lip to go with it! Nothing else matters with this outfit, as the red lip and stripe say it all.

White satchel to go with the stripe.
Ok ok, so I said this outfit didn't need anything else, well I had to have a bag, so I went for my white satchel from Primark. I also wore some black tights, Topshop black Astrix boots as well as my Topshop faux leather jacket (old).

I can't wait to wear this dress through the summer and get a lot of wear out of it!

Outfit - A Winter Afternoon

It is starting to get pretty chilly outside, so I've dug out my faux fur coat from my wardrobe to keep me cosy. I love my coat which I bought from River Island two years ago and it is still as soft as ever and fits like a glove.

Coat - River Island, Scarf - Pull & Bear, Jeans - Topshop, Boots - Dune, Hat - Urban Outfitters

I stole my boyfriends beanie, as my head was getting cold and I quite like it, it goes perfectly by picking out the lighter brown in the coat.

River Island Faux Fur Coat always feels glamorous

I put a basic long sleeved green top with the outfit, just to add a bit of colour. I love the forest tone to the green, along with the brown which works really nicely.

The coat maybe 2 years old but I love it more every day

I also wore a pull & bear scarf, which was made to be worn with this coat - I love them together, the tones of the brown worn so well with the black.

Dune Rafferty Boots - Still on sale two years after I got them!
I love these beauties - my Dune Rafferty boots, which you can surprisingly still buy! I was given these as a Christmas present about two years ago, so seeing as they're still being sold is pretty odd. They are good boots, with a sturdy rubber sole with a lot of grip, a small heel and the best part - the tartan fold over with the knitted collar. Beaut.

None of this outfit is new, in fact the top is the oldest - probably 4 years old! But the colour is still as vibrant as ever.

What are you wearing now it's getting colour outside?

Outfit - Velvet Dreams

It's a jean kind of day today! My trusty black Jamie jeans from Topshop were on top form today, with a little roll up on my ankle, exposing a bit of skin on a surprisingly warm Autumn day!

Velvet Dreams outfit
I wanted to wear something a bit interesting so I went for my vintage GAP jacket, in a gorgeous bottle green velvet - perfection. I love the look of a soft velvet jacket, as it shimmers in the daylight.

Dream Catcher top from Gold Kid London
Velvet jacket vintage GAP

I wore a top I bought from a stall in Camden Lock called Gold Kid London. I love it, and it was only a fiver! I am a huge fan of dream catchers so this was definitely the top for me!

Necklace from BornPrettyStore.com

I didn't want to wear a necklace that was too loud and flashy, so I went for this simple black rope necklace with three skull beads - perfect for the week of Halloween.

Astrix Boots from Topshop

I really need a new pair of boots, as these seem to feature all the time on my blog! But I do love them dearly! If you have any suggestions of new winter boots, please let me know!

Leather on Leather - Outfit

I haven't done an outfit post in ages, but I braved the ex-hurricane today with camera in hand! I was a tad worried my tripod would fall over and break my camera, but thankfully no damage was caused by the pesky wind!

I'm getting a bit bored of wearing jeans on my days off work, so I decided to wear my green pencil skirt from H&M, just for a change.

Jacket - Escandelle Top - River Island Skirt - H&M Necklace - Primark Bangles - New Look Boots - Topshop

I paired it with a pleather t-shirt I bought from River Island ages ago. I think it looks really good with the skirt and gives it a bit of much needed texture.

Contrast between the pleather top and the sleek green skirt.

I love the black with this shade of green, and how it looks casual but you could also wear this to the office - not that I work in an office right now, but for future reference!

Love this Escandelle Faux Leather Biker Jacket, with gold hard wear

I also wore this black and white pleather jacket, by a french brand Escandelle - which I have never heard of but I found this amungst my mums coats - yes it is my mums jacket. But I may have to sneakily wear it from time to time.

Statement necklace from Primark

I added this gold and burgundy necklace to my outfit, as I think it gives the outfit a bit of a colour pop. I love the burgundy as it is my favourite colour to wear in the colder months - well all year round really!
I bought it from Primark and I think it was around £5-£8, for a statement necklace I think it's pretty reasonable.

My trusty Astrix Boots from Topshop
Finally I wore my trusty Topshop Astrix Boots and a pair of black tights, as it was pretty cold today!
Hello Autumn.

You Look Like a Witch...In a Good Way

Words said by my friend when she saw me wearing this outfit. I was standing there with a broomstick in one hand and a black cat in the other...but y'know.

Top and Maxi skirt - New Look
Necklace - Unknown
Boots - Topshop
Sunglasses - Urban Outfitters

In all seriousness I love this outfit because I love wearing black clothes *COUGH GOFF COUGH*
This is what I wore when we went for Ice Cream the other day, fitting I know. It was so hot and I'm running low on summer clothes, this seemed the best thing to go with.
I'm wearing a black maxi skirt, from New Look. It is so thin, which is good in hot weather because it flows when you walk, creating a (sort of) breeze. It also has pockets! Who doesn't love a skirt with pockets?

Close up of the camisole and skull necklace

I paired it with a black stroppy top also from New Look £5.99. I love this camisole because it looks very basic from the front but it has a 'V' back. I have no idea which shop the skull necklace came from as it was my sisters but I'm sure you can find a version on eBay.

Close up of my sunglasses from Urban Outfitters

My trusty sunglasses are out again - Urban Outfitters. I absolutely adore this shape, it's unique and the size is perfect for my face, any smaller and it highlights my cubby cheeks!

Topshop Beetle boots

Fave shoes of the moment, my Topshop Beetle Boots - now I know they aren't the best material, I wish they were made from leather as the inside heel has scuffed on both shoes. However they still look awesome and I just forget about the inside of them.

Skull Necklace

Look at that detail on the skull - perfect!

Kimono Lovin'

Last Saturday me and the boy went to Bournemouth for the day, it was baking hot, the beach was packed so we went around Bournemouth town for most of the day. We stopped for lunch in 60 Million Postcards, which is such a nice pub, with board games available behind the bar and nicely priced food/drink.

60 Million Postcards - Pub in Bourmeouth

I had the beef burger with Chorizo and Halloumi and it was lush, along with an Aspall cider - Yum!

This is what I wore...

Dress: Boohoo
Kimono and Bag : Primark
Necklace: BornPrettyStore
Sunglasses: Urban Outfitters
Shoes: Vans

Now I absolutely love Kimono's I think I have a serious problem! Whenever I see one I want it so bad! I have stopped myself recently from buying anymore as my wardrobe is packed.
I decided to wear this long kimono which is from Primark, as it brightened up a dull grey dress. Don't get my wrong I love the dress but it definitely needs brightening up.

I find it really difficult to dress for hot weather as I don't like wearing shorts (even though I own a few pairs and wish I wore them!) so this dress was an easy one, it is long enough to cover my thighs, and because it's plain I can put it with all of my kimono's!

What have you been wearing to keep cool this summer?

Outfit - I bought the Tartan trousers!

Tartan Trousers - River Island - £35
Vest - Primark - old
Heels - New Look - old

After trying these trousers on in River Island about 3 different times, I decided what the heck. Seriously in love with these. I now want a lot more trousers, it just makes a really nice change from jeans.

I love the little details on these trousers, like the black lining on the pocket which is slightly on show, they also have detail on the waist band. They were £35 which is a bit pricey but I'm so glad I bought them! I wore them with my Primark chain vest top and New Look heels. I was going to wear this outfit out, hence the heels.

I also realised I really need some new really cute flat shoes, I have one pair and they're for work. How bad is that?!
How would you wear these tartan trousers?

Outfit- £5 Dress!

This is believe it or not, a £5 dress. Who knew?
Primark seem to be doing so many of these at the moment, they have an 8 way fixture just full of skater dresses, all with different prints all for a fiver, in the one in Southampton. Uh-may-zing.

The sun was a welcome sight this morning as I opened my blinds. It was really lovely to see a bright blue sky with just a few white clouds.
So I decided I was going to wear a dress, which I don't often do to be honest. But I haven't been able to wear this one yet, so I thought it was time I whipped it out the wardrobe. Also I went for a lovely lunch with my Dad, at a gorgeous pub in the middle of the forest, so thought this outfit would do nicely.

I thought I would wear a necklace with this dress, but I didn't want anything too 'in your face' so I went for this simple one. My boyfriend bought me this for my birthday back in December, I can't remember where he said he got it from, but it is so cute.

I also wore my new make up which includes L'oreal Foundation, Lancome mascara, Rimmel Stay Matte powder and Benefit blusher. Which I will be doing a review on as soon as I can get my uni work under control. Third year is hard.

Outfit - Daisy Print

Earlier this week I went into the newly refurbished Primark in Southampton, usually I can not find anything in there, but since they've made it actually nice to shop in, I found quite a few things!
In with the bits I bought, was this shirt, which I adore, the cute daisy print is perfect and black is my thing. I love the monochrome look, I think it's really chic and it's just so easy to wear.
The shirt was a mere £12, which is amazing for how it looks and it fits really nicely.

I picked up a few more bits and then headed for New Look, as I found they do a really good dupe disco pant. As soon as I tried them on I fell in love. They are gorgeous. They look very similar to the original disco pants, without the pockets and they are quite thin. However they aren't so thin that pants are on show (pet hate when it comes to leggings!) and they fit gorgeously. I have turned up the ankles as they are quite long, but I am only 5' 2''.
These great dupes are only £22.99, and I only paid £20.69 (student discount is going to be missed when I finish uni!)

Daisy print shirt - Primark £12
Disco Pant dupes - New Look - £22.99
Astrix Boots - Topshop - £42

New staple to my wardrobe. I also wore my trusty black Astrix boots from Topshop.

Outfit - Subtle Quilting

Urban Outfitters scarf, Topshop honeycomb sweater, Jamie Jeans Topshop, Astrix Boots Topshop and Owl necklace unknown

Currently doing uni work I thought I would upload my outfit from yesterday, when I went into town with my boyfriend to return some bits and buy some new tweezers (glamorous I know).
I decided to wear the new top I bought from Topshop, which is the Mulberry Honeycomb Sweat Tunic, it was £29 but with student discount made it down to £26, which is quite expensive but I adore it so much. I love the 3/4 length sleeves and the texture of the fabric, which is kind of a thin quilt (difficult to explain, but it's very nice!) It also has an exposed zip at the back which is about 3 inches long, which is a nice touch. So close to buying the other colours it comes in, but I might wait a little while so my bank balance doesn't suffer too much!

I'm wearing it with my Topshop Jamie Jeans in black along with Topshop Astrix boots (not pictured but can look at here
I also wore my scarf which I got from my boyfriend for Christmas, it is from Urban Outfitters, I love it so much and goes perfectly with this outfit!

The owl necklace was courtesy of my sister, she had a clear out of some of her jewellery and this is one of the pieces I got off of her. I think it completes my look nicely.

Velbon DF-51 tripod

Finally I used my tripod for the first time since getting it for Christmas, from my parents! It made taking these photos so much easier! Instead of it taking 30+ minutes it only took my about 15! I love it so much, can't wait till the summer when I can take photos outside with it.

Outfit

Favourite outfit of the week, so far.
I decided to wear a skirt, which doesn't happen very often but sometimes it's nice to wear something different to jeans. Plus I put it with these dotty tights, which make any outfit a bit more interesting!

I also wore my fedora for part of the day, until I put my coat on, as it got in the way. (I have a fur collar to my coat and it just caught on the hat - so annoying!)
But it looks nice as long as it's not too cold, so no coat needed.
I added my scarf I bought from a market stall. I love the green and gold thread weaved through, it just adds a nice touch.

I also added some jewellery from Born Pretty. I love this necklace so much, it is perfect. Have a read of my post on Born Pretty, which contains a 10% discount code!

I'm thumpin'! That's why they call me Thumper! - Outfit

Bambi Jumper - Primark £10
H&M leggings - £7.99
Topshop boots - £42
Astrix boots Topshop - £42

Favourite jumper ever alert! Just like the Givenchy Bambi jumper, but a FRACTION of the price. It cost me a tenner from Primark! I know, amazing. I actually prefer the Primark version to be honest, not only because I could afford it.
I wore it simply with leggings and my Topshop boots. Whatcha think?
