Outfit - The Striped Top

I love stripes! Mainly this kind -black with white stripes, it's like stripe heaven. This top didn't even cost me much, it was £4 in Primark! You don't have to spend a lot of money to get a cool chic vibe, which is always good in my opinion.

Outfit - Sixties Swing Dress

Dress - Warehouse £26
Jacket - Topshop old
Boots - Topshop old
Satchel - Primark old

It may not be spring yet, but myself like many of you are lusting over the new clothes that are coming into the shops. I recently found this dress in warehouse and I fell in love instantly!
It is perfect.
You literally can not go wrong with stripes and this dress is no exception. The high neck is so flattering, as well as the swing style with short sleeves so basically it could not get any better.

Red lip and stripes, need I say more?

I decided to wear a red lipstick with this outfit as I feel that the dress needs a red lip to go with it! Nothing else matters with this outfit, as the red lip and stripe say it all.

White satchel to go with the stripe.
Ok ok, so I said this outfit didn't need anything else, well I had to have a bag, so I went for my white satchel from Primark. I also wore some black tights, Topshop black Astrix boots as well as my Topshop faux leather jacket (old).

I can't wait to wear this dress through the summer and get a lot of wear out of it!

American Outlaw

Whilst in town yesterday getting a few bits and bobs for my friends 'twenteenth' birthday tomorrow. (Which I'm super excited for by the way) I just happened to stumble out onto the high street and into Topshop.
My boyfriend didn't know what to do, with the large array of people, so he stood by the side, with his words "I think I'm in the way" - bless him.
So I was left on my own, sifting through rail upon rail of sale stuff, which I prefer anyway; I can be quite nifty when it comes to getting to certain items I see, not in a bitchy way.

The first item I came across was this tank top; which I remember seeing when it was full price and loving it, so I was pretty excited when I found it hanging on the sale rail. When I saw the price I became even more excited, it had gone down to £12 from £22! As you may know I love rock inspired clothes - basically things with an 'edge'. Don't worry, I'm not one of these girls who buys a t-shirt that says 'Metallica', just because I think it looks cool.

Rule of thumb: If you have never listened/heard of a band you should not wear their t-shirts, even if it is being sold in a high street shop and "looks cool".

Anyway, I digress. I bought this top as I knew it would go with a lot of my wardrobe, seeing as it's grey. I love the Americana style with the American Eagle on the front. Definitely worth the £12 I paid for it, seeing as I'm going to wear it all the time, then probably take it to Reading Festival.

I have put this t-shirt with leggings from Next (£9), I would love some disco pants to go with this, I think it would look awesome, however I can't afford them right now. I'm wearing them with my black and white authentic vans, and a necklace by Mint Velvet (bought ages ago).

Because it's cold and horrible outside, I have put my not so leather jacket from Topshop on aswell. Which I think completes this look.

Happy Friday!

My new 'not so leather' leather jacket

When I checked my bank balance late last night I came to realise, that I had been paid a little bit more than usual. This obviously meant that it was time to go shopping! So this morning I jumped out of bed at 10.30 and prepared myself for going into Southampton, by watching a bit of 'This morning' whilst eating some toast with a cup of tea on the side.

So after getting dressed, I drove into town and started my quest for the perfect boots, I had tried on the previous day and the perfect fake leather jacket which I had also spotted on my browsing trip.

I walked into Topshop, to see the fake leather jacket sitting on the front of a rail in my size; the one I had tried on yesterday! I grabbed it and didn't let it out of my sight until it was safely in a shopping bag!
Next stop on the agenda were the boots; the boots that had sold out everywhere online, the boots that were the perfect fit, the boots that I knew I needed to have. I was just hoping and wishing that they still had them in my size!

As I walked over to the shoe department I noticed the display where the shoes were the previous day had been slightly adjusted, panic set in. I started to walk quickly to the display and thankfully, they had just been moved to the opposite side! The shop assistant was standing right by them so I grabbed on size 4 and asked for the other one as quickly as I could. No one else was getting these beauties! Not on my watch, as some people say!

So here they are...

Topshop - £75
These boots maybe quite expensive, however they are real leather, which makes a huge difference on how much I spend on shoes. If they were a different material; even if they were suede, I wouldn't have paid this much, because it's simply not worth it. But no these boots are perfect, they have a zip on either side which makes them a bit more unique from the standard Chelsea style boot.

I have been wearing them since I got home 4 hours ago and they are still really comfortable and really easy to wear. They will go with everything and anything, which is another reason why I justified spending so much!

My next purchase was my 'not so leather' leather jacket. It is made from 100% Polyurethane, and fits really nicely. It is also very similar to the real leather jacket they do called the 'traditional biker jacket' this comes in at £165, which is very expensive for a leather jacket. Here's a little snap shot of my one...

Topshop - £55
I think the texture of the jacket and the look of it makes you think it is real leather, they have done really well at making this the next fake leather jacket you could buy; price and quality. Another item that I think everyone should have in their wardrobe, as it again goes with anything! It also instantly rocks up any outfit, which you should know by now, I just love rocking outfits up!

Along with these two items, which in total came to a bit less, thanks to saving 15%, I also received this beautiful Mary Katrantzou bag! It is so cute, I love it. Super summery and it's big enough to fit uni stuff in! What more could you want?

Hopefully your days have been as lucky as mine have!
