Outfit - My Septum Piercing Experience

So I'd been thinking about a septum piercing for a while, both my friend and I in fact, and we finally set a day to get it done! Tuesday rolled around and before I knew it we were in Asgard in Southampton filling in a medical form!

It's buy one get one free so it only cost £15 each, which is awesome, so we paid and off we went. My friend got hers done first and she made little fuss, she was shaking and really nervous but didn't make a noise when the needle went in.

I on the other hand...I have a tiny pain threshold - basically none existent.

Outfit - Sixties Swing Dress

Dress - Warehouse £26
Jacket - Topshop old
Boots - Topshop old
Satchel - Primark old

It may not be spring yet, but myself like many of you are lusting over the new clothes that are coming into the shops. I recently found this dress in warehouse and I fell in love instantly!
It is perfect.
You literally can not go wrong with stripes and this dress is no exception. The high neck is so flattering, as well as the swing style with short sleeves so basically it could not get any better.

Red lip and stripes, need I say more?

I decided to wear a red lipstick with this outfit as I feel that the dress needs a red lip to go with it! Nothing else matters with this outfit, as the red lip and stripe say it all.

White satchel to go with the stripe.
Ok ok, so I said this outfit didn't need anything else, well I had to have a bag, so I went for my white satchel from Primark. I also wore some black tights, Topshop black Astrix boots as well as my Topshop faux leather jacket (old).

I can't wait to wear this dress through the summer and get a lot of wear out of it!

Outfit - The Roll Neck

For a while now I've really liked the look of a roll neck - love a 60's vibe. I finally gave in, and bought one from River Island, what do you think?

I love the colour, it goes perfectly with my skin tone, and even more the polo neck doesn't look horrendous, which I was worried about. I just wore my black Jamie jeans, my black felt fedora and my Domino boots from Office.

I bought the top from River Island for £15 and it also comes in brown, black, navy and grey. I prefer the purple/red to just add a bit of colour to my wardrobe, but I might pick up the navy one too. This is the beginning of me buying all my basics again as I haven't got many now and everyone really does need their basics!

I wore my long gunmetal and sparkly necklace from Mint Velvet, and I think it adds to the outfit, without it, the outfit looks a bit old fashioned.

Have you gotten into the roll neck trend?

Outfit - Velvet Dreams

It's a jean kind of day today! My trusty black Jamie jeans from Topshop were on top form today, with a little roll up on my ankle, exposing a bit of skin on a surprisingly warm Autumn day!

Velvet Dreams outfit
I wanted to wear something a bit interesting so I went for my vintage GAP jacket, in a gorgeous bottle green velvet - perfection. I love the look of a soft velvet jacket, as it shimmers in the daylight.

Dream Catcher top from Gold Kid London
Velvet jacket vintage GAP

I wore a top I bought from a stall in Camden Lock called Gold Kid London. I love it, and it was only a fiver! I am a huge fan of dream catchers so this was definitely the top for me!

Necklace from BornPrettyStore.com

I didn't want to wear a necklace that was too loud and flashy, so I went for this simple black rope necklace with three skull beads - perfect for the week of Halloween.

Astrix Boots from Topshop

I really need a new pair of boots, as these seem to feature all the time on my blog! But I do love them dearly! If you have any suggestions of new winter boots, please let me know!

Haunting Halloween

Halloween is the end of the week, so I'm getting ready for the big night! I have decided to dress as a Zombie obviously, because how much more scary can you get?
Even though my outfit will be zombie-fied I've made a little inspiration board for an outfit fit for a Witch. I actually quite like the look of this outfit for everyday life - except the tights they are very halloween!
And what kind of Witch wouldn't have a cat? I've added in a cat iPhone case I found on Asos - love it.

What have you decided to dress as for halloween?

Leather on Leather - Outfit

I haven't done an outfit post in ages, but I braved the ex-hurricane today with camera in hand! I was a tad worried my tripod would fall over and break my camera, but thankfully no damage was caused by the pesky wind!

I'm getting a bit bored of wearing jeans on my days off work, so I decided to wear my green pencil skirt from H&M, just for a change.

Jacket - Escandelle Top - River Island Skirt - H&M Necklace - Primark Bangles - New Look Boots - Topshop

I paired it with a pleather t-shirt I bought from River Island ages ago. I think it looks really good with the skirt and gives it a bit of much needed texture.

Contrast between the pleather top and the sleek green skirt.

I love the black with this shade of green, and how it looks casual but you could also wear this to the office - not that I work in an office right now, but for future reference!

Love this Escandelle Faux Leather Biker Jacket, with gold hard wear

I also wore this black and white pleather jacket, by a french brand Escandelle - which I have never heard of but I found this amungst my mums coats - yes it is my mums jacket. But I may have to sneakily wear it from time to time.

Statement necklace from Primark

I added this gold and burgundy necklace to my outfit, as I think it gives the outfit a bit of a colour pop. I love the burgundy as it is my favourite colour to wear in the colder months - well all year round really!
I bought it from Primark and I think it was around £5-£8, for a statement necklace I think it's pretty reasonable.

My trusty Astrix Boots from Topshop
Finally I wore my trusty Topshop Astrix Boots and a pair of black tights, as it was pretty cold today!
Hello Autumn.

What I Wore on Holiday #1

I wore this outfit in the evening, as the crop top was too hot to wear in the day time. We went to restaurants most nights and I wanted to wear something different  from what I wore in the day time. I have just realised nearly my whole outfit is from Topshop (woops)
I bought the sandals ages ago for £22, I found that walking around in them all day they became very uncomfortable! However they were great for wearing out in the evening as they were cool and they went with a lot of things.
I wore it with a skirt I bought in the sale, for £15, which couldn't go a miss! I love the pattern and the fact it has pockets! I love pockets in skirts so much, not sure why but I love them. I can't be the only one, am I?
I then added my sky blue crop top which was £8 and it went really nicely, seeing as the skirt was high waisted, I think it looks great. Then the sunnies are from Urban Outfitters, I love the round frames. Definitely going to wear this outfit again!

Bright colours on a cold day

I found a beautiful foral scarf in my chest of drawers this morning, after being given it as a present a few years ago, and never wore it. However I thought 'what the heck' and wore it today with my outfit. I think it went pretty well, and added a bit of excitement for my outfit. Seeing as I had the usual 'I have nothing to wear' moment whilst staring at my over flowing wardrobe.
I finally decided I needed something warm but also with a bit of style of course I didn't have to be at uni until 4 this evening so I had a lot of time to actually work out what I wanted to wear, thankfully!
Grey Blazer - Topshop
Grey Skirt - Forever 21
Burgandy top - New Look
Scarf - New Look

The skirt I am wearing is one of my fail safe wardrobe items, bought whilst I was on holiday from Forever 21. I can wear it with near enough anything, as it is made out of a thick cotton, it is warm and versatile.
I love the scarf so much with this outfit, it has the most beautiful pattern on it, even though it was only from New Look! The colours are so bright against the black background, it just makes it stand out against my outfit so well.

After today I really wanted to go shopping, seeing as I want to put a vast majority of my wardrobe on Ebay. However this month it is a bit tight on money, so it doesn't look like I'll be buying anything on the high street any time soon. Maybe I'll stick to Ebay and charity shops, if I can find a decent one.

My week...

This last week I have realised I have been incredibly lazy, and I need to kick this habit!
I've have had quite a good week though, as I received my results from my first semester at uni, which I did well at and I am very pleased with the results.
Seeing as on the deadline day I was rushing around like a crazy person! I managed to get the work in before the deadline, however I was a little nervous about the quality of work I had produced. However according to my results I did very well, I do want to push myself a bit more this semester.

With modules called 'the fashion muse' and 'the fashion mix' it should be a really exciting term that I can really get my teeth into. I'm not 100% sure what these modules will actually consist of but I'm sure come next week I'll know exactly what I have to do.

Through out this week I have been nipping into town and hanging out at the boyfriends house, so nothing too taxing. Whilst being in town I have been mooching around the shops to find some sensible buys, things I can have in my wardrobe for ages...

That's where my first maxi skirt comes into the equation. It is the perfect wardrobe staple, you can wear it in the winter with a pair of boots and a long sleeved top, tucked in so it shows off your waist.
You can also take this skirt with you into the summer months, by wearing it with flip flops and a strapy top; also tucked in. If you are feeling daring, and you have a good stomach, you could also wear the skirt with a crop top. However at this moment in time I will not be wearing it with as I have the perfect tummy.

Here's my outfit for today incorporating my brand new maxi skirt:
Top: New Look
Necklace: Topshop
Skirt: New Look - £19.99
Belt: comes with skirt
Shoes: River Island

The necklace I bought ages ago from Topshop in their Freedom collection and I love it. I think the chain necklaces are the most versitle and they rock up an outfit as soon as you put it on.

The shoes maybe a year old but they still do the trick and you've got to have a bit of character somewhere right?

Overall this skirt is amazing, it hides all my sins, I can go out for a meal and not have to worry about buttons on my jeans popping off or feeling uncomfortable! It also makes my legs look a lot longer than they are, as I am only a mere 5 foot 3 inches tall.
All in all I think this skirt is going to be in my wardrobe for a very long time!
Every girl needs a maxi skirt in their wardrobe, there are so many around at the moment, all in different colours and patterns to take you from season to season.
Have a great day x
