The forest of talking trees, they used to sing about the birds and the bees

I finally bought some new jeans! I have been looking for a pair of high waisted jeans for a while now, I love love love anything high waisted as it keeps everything in!
So when I found these beauties in Topshop I tried them on. They fit amazingly, they are the high waisted Jamie ankle grazer jeans, which I believe are quite new as I have never seen them before; I could be wrong.  I decided to go for a size down as they have 3% stretch in them so I don't want them going baggy. It's the first time I've fit into a size 8 in a long long time - trust me. Even though they are a smaller size than usual they still fit like a glove - a slightly tight one at that.
They feel like leggings but still have the structure of jeans, without becoming jeggings.
I love the colour too, I already have my pair of black jeans so I thought I would go for something different, plus they go with my brown boots I got for Christmas last year - result.

I wore these jeans with my new flecked oversized top also from Topshop. I bought it also in a size 8 because I knew it was already oversize but I didn't want to go overboard on the hugeness of it. I love the texture of this top it's really comfy and I can wear it with most of my wardrobe. So not bad for £18.

I wore my trusty grey and silver necklace from Mint Velvet, which is a great brand, as you get quality for less money than you would assume. I think this top needs a bit of jewellery to add a bit of individuality to the outfit.

I wore this outfit with my trusty classic Vans, you could wear this outfit with heels as well if you were going out for an evening, I love extra uses for outfits.

First day of second year!

I had a horrible rude awakening this morning, when my alarm screamed at me at 9.30AM, yes it was time for the first day of second year at uni! My brain was not ready to be bombarded with information about the assignments that were being set for this semester. I started to get ready and from looking outside my window I could tell it wasn't going to be the nicest of days, however I have a lack of jeans at the moment! So I settled for a pair of brand new velvet shorts from New Look, that I bought about a week and a half ago for £19.99.
I love love love them, they are a gorgeous green colour with black spots all over them, I think they are so cute, especially as they are high waisted.

Because it was cold out, I did wear tights, but I could have done with a thicker pair as I didn't realise it was going to rain! So my legs were a tiny bit cold but least next time I will know to wear a thicker pair of tights! I wore them with a simple black vest top also from New Look - £3.99 and they are available in loads of different colours, which is always handy to have!

I also wore my Topshop blazer I bought a few years ago, but they have a similar one in stock on the Topshop website, it is the same price that I paid but is a tiny bit more structured. Can't go wrong with a grey blazer, I think it brings my whole outfit together, and adds another layer seeing as it's getting chilly out! I also wore my topshop boots, which cost me £75 and my necklace is also from Topshop.

So with my outfit all sorted I drove off to uni, it was alright, weird to be back but nice all at the same time. I had forgotten how cold the lecture rooms were, and how good the hash browns were in the cafeteria. So there was pros and cons, including getting our assignments, eeek. Gonna be a busy bee!
Anyone else gone back to uni lately or going off to uni for their first year?

Please don’t go please don’t go I love you so I love you so...

Summer has nearly gone, but so glad there's been a few days of sunshine just before Autumn kicks in!

I've been working like crazy over the last few days, and now another 7 days of working commences in a few hours. I will take this time to show you an outfit I wore yesterday, where I went into town with my boyfriend to do some much needed window shopping.
Which was probably a bad idea, seeing as 90% of the things we saw I really loved, this maybe because I swear this seasons clothes have been made for me; the studs, the deep purples, blacks, skulls, maxi skirts, blazers, leather....mmmmm.
Seeing as it was a scorching hot day, I decided to go for a light look. Breaking out my River Island grey maxi dip back skirt which I haven't worn since my holiday in July! I love this skirt the only think is you've got to watch out when it's windy! They have now got it in other colours and prints on the River Island website, which is great.

Note : My terrible tan line from Reading festival on the right hand photograph...

I teamed my skirt with my Topshop white basic neppy tee  which was £14. It's a great price for such a good quality Tshirt, it's also textured which makes it a lot nicer than a standard white tee, it is also a more slouchy fit, which I love!

I decided to add this necklace to it, as I thought it was a bit too plain without it. It's such an old necklace; vintage I suppose. I think it was my mum's, but I've had it in my jewelry box for such a long time. I just never had anything I could wear it with, but now I think it goes perfectly with my outfit; it was worth the wait!

I didn't want to wear much make up because of the heat so I'm wearing only Infallible eyeliner in Night Day Black by L'OrĂ©al, which I bought in Boots. Along with bad gal lash mascara by Benefit which I got for free in Glamour magazine a little while ago. Got to love free makeup from magazines!
I may not be on the blogging front a lot the next few weeks, as I have a massively busy work schedule this week, where I'm working literally every day! But I will try and do some blog posts!
Hope you've had a great day!

American Outlaw

Whilst in town yesterday getting a few bits and bobs for my friends 'twenteenth' birthday tomorrow. (Which I'm super excited for by the way) I just happened to stumble out onto the high street and into Topshop.
My boyfriend didn't know what to do, with the large array of people, so he stood by the side, with his words "I think I'm in the way" - bless him.
So I was left on my own, sifting through rail upon rail of sale stuff, which I prefer anyway; I can be quite nifty when it comes to getting to certain items I see, not in a bitchy way.

The first item I came across was this tank top; which I remember seeing when it was full price and loving it, so I was pretty excited when I found it hanging on the sale rail. When I saw the price I became even more excited, it had gone down to £12 from £22! As you may know I love rock inspired clothes - basically things with an 'edge'. Don't worry, I'm not one of these girls who buys a t-shirt that says 'Metallica', just because I think it looks cool.

Rule of thumb: If you have never listened/heard of a band you should not wear their t-shirts, even if it is being sold in a high street shop and "looks cool".

Anyway, I digress. I bought this top as I knew it would go with a lot of my wardrobe, seeing as it's grey. I love the Americana style with the American Eagle on the front. Definitely worth the £12 I paid for it, seeing as I'm going to wear it all the time, then probably take it to Reading Festival.

I have put this t-shirt with leggings from Next (£9), I would love some disco pants to go with this, I think it would look awesome, however I can't afford them right now. I'm wearing them with my black and white authentic vans, and a necklace by Mint Velvet (bought ages ago).

Because it's cold and horrible outside, I have put my not so leather jacket from Topshop on aswell. Which I think completes this look.

Happy Friday!

Jewelry must haves from Topshop

I love this new necklace from Topshop, I suppose that's obvious because of my other post about my love for everything moustache.
But whilst scrolling through there 'new in this week' section I stumbled across this beaut. It's very similar to another necklace I have however this one has a top hat! What more could you want!?
I need this in my life, to carry on my collection, so this is definitely going on my wish list.

I also found another piece of jewelry, this amazing ring for only £6.50. It's a really interesting ring as it's actually in the shape of lips with the gap in the middle. I haven't ever seen anything like this, it reminds me of Jessie J a lot, as she wears lip transfers. Where this ring in in gold, it looks similar to a lip transfer, so overall I love this piece of jewelry.
