The perfect pair of...

I am forever on the hunt for the perfect pair of jeans, like many of you I'm sure. Jeans are a huge staple in my wardrobe, I love wearing them. They're so easy to create an outfit, especially in the winter months, when it's way too cold to wear a skirt with just tights, you really need something more substantial to keep you cosy.

I'm currently having to do the extensive task of going from shop to shop trying to find a pair of jeans that fit exactly how I want them too. Hoping that one day I'll will find THE pair of jeans.

I have been wearing Topshop jeans for years now, from Kristan High Waisted to the newer Jamie Ankle grazers, (which I buy in a longer leg so they're not ankle grazers, I don't want cold ankles!). However they are getting old now and I really need a good pair of black jeans, some that are made of REAL jean, not just thin cotton. I have looked into Levi's, trying on a pair of their high waisted black skinnies, the 28's cut me in half but the 29's felt too big.
Along with my vertical challenges (short legs) and my high waist, means jeans just never fit how they should/how I would like. I would love to find a pair of jeans which fit, flatter me and most importantly go over my large thighs (Warehouse and Oasis, culprits of making jeans for people with tiny thighs!)
Someone help me, please? I'm looking for a pair of black high waisted good quality jeans…
Do you wear a certain pair of jeans that just fit amazingly or are you on the hunt like me for the perfect pair of jeans?
Thanks

Denim shirts

I know I know everyone and their mum has probably got a denim shirt by now, but I couldn't resist! I had previously bought one in New Look, which had gold collar tips on it, however it was £24.99, and it felt thin and like it wasn't going to keep me very warm in the colder months.
So after taking it back I thought it would be a good idea to find a men's denim shirt. We all know that men's clothes are thicker and so much more comfortable; shirts and jackets especially  So without further a do, we went over to HM, where we headed for the men's section straight away.
I found this great shirt, it's the perfect tone of denim, the buttons don't look horrendously cheap, the denim is thicker and longer, also it was only £19.99!
So I snapped it up, today I'm wearing it with a pair of thick leggings also from HM (7.99), my black authentic vans, my dip dye DIY top; which I think works really well, as the colours compliment each other nicely. I also wore a few necklaces that are really old, just to accesorise my outfit.

Thank god for eBay!

After a very long day at uni yesterday, I was glad to be home with my boyfriend. When I walked through the door to find that my new jean shorts had come through, my day had got 10000% better. I now have a pair of 501 vintage shorts!

I've wanted them for ages but didn't want to pay the ridiculous prices they are in the shops. Magically all the charity shops in my local area had all sold out of 501 levi's After asking around no one had any old jeans, so making my own was out of the question.
So I went to eBay for help and boy did it.

After getting caught in a bidding war, I managed to get the highest bid right at the end of the bidding, it was fated.
They make me look more proportioned it's great, just what I need. Usually shorts make me look dumpy with big hips, however these high wasted ones just look perfect.
They are making me want to actually go to a festival this year though, also as the Foo Fighters have been heavily rumored to be playing Reading festival this year.
Which gives another reason to no longer be a festival virgin!

I love wearing these shorts with a top tucked in and a skinny belt, I think it's the best way to wear the high wasted design. As you can show them off to the best of your ability, without taking them off and parading around the streets holding them on a pole.
I can't wait to wear these out, I might wait until the super cold weather has stopped though!
