Outfit - The 80's Print Shirt

Thanks to Elle magazine I went on a little shopping spree on Asos - 20% off voucher in every issue (get it quick, the new one will be out soon!)

I don't usually buy things off of Asos as I find it hard to find the things that I want, but it all fell into place the other day and I found EVERYTHING I wanted. 

Including this whole outfit...

Outfit - The Tartan Raglan

Today I delved into my wardrobe and dug out this tartan raglan that I bought bloody ages ago!  It's from Primark and I hardly wear it but I love it with this faux leather skirt.

Another sale find is this Warehouse dress, which I got for £20, complete bargain. It was originally £52 so for more than half price you really can't go wrong! 

Outfit - The Ombre Top

I'm not a regular sales shopper but I am likely to pick a few bits out of the winter sales, they are always better anyway! I haven't gone crazy with sales shopping because personally I love the new stock that's coming into stores, but seeing as it's still really cold and a lot of the newer stock is very spring/summer for obvious reasons it felt stupid not to have a look at the sales. 

Outfit - The Midi Cardigan

Ok so Autumn isn't in full swing yet, but I bought this cardigan the other day from New Look as it just looked and felt so cosy! I wore it with my cropped striped t-shirt from Monki, however I have now found a little hole in it, which makes me sad - it's such a nice top, may need to buy a new one.

The last time I saw Wolf Alice was at Glastonbury in the rain whilst pretty half cut, so seeing them again inside the O2 Guildhall in Southampton completely sober was a completely different experience.

I wore this to a friend at works leaving meal the other day and I absolutely love it. Mainly because my new shoes had their first proper outing! 

Outfit - The Floral Shirt

I have a huge obsession with floral shirts, not any old floral shirt, mainly the kind with massive flowers on them, a good old 80's style floral shirt is perfection - the bigger the print the more I love it. 

I bought this one about two months ago and I couldn't love it more, I think it is my favourite shirt I have ever bought. I bought it from Warehouse, where they also do a cream version which I lust over every day I see it at work!

Outfit - The Striped Top

I love stripes! Mainly this kind -black with white stripes, it's like stripe heaven. This top didn't even cost me much, it was £4 in Primark! You don't have to spend a lot of money to get a cool chic vibe, which is always good in my opinion. 

Outfit - Transeasonal Green

A few days after writing my last blog I went into town and spent some money on clothes! Yay. I tried on quite a bit in Topshop and came out with a few bits, which was quite nice. I decided to buy clothes which I could easily wear throughout winter as well as the rest of our summer. 

This dress is just perfect for this. The colour, the shape, the fabric - perfect. Oh and the price! This basic green high neck dress was only £20, which in my mind is a bargain, seeing as I will happily wear this ALL THE TIME. It is ultimately comfortable, the colour is the best kind of green you can get - in my opinion - and the neck line is just well great. 

I don't have any flat summer shoes, which aren't converse or vans, so I decided black boots will do today. It wasn't too hot so I guessed these would pass as ok footwear for summer. In my eyes boots are always ok to wear - ok maybe not when it's so hot that you melt as soon as you leave the house...that is my exception.

It may not be spring yet, but myself like many of you are lusting over the new clothes that are coming into the shops. I recently found this dress in warehouse and I fell in love instantly! 

It is perfect. 

You literally can not go wrong with stripes and this dress is no exception. The high neck is so flattering, as well as the swing style with short sleeves so basically it could not get any better. 

Red lip and stripes, need I say more?

I decided to wear a red lipstick with this outfit as I feel that the dress needs a red lip to go with it! Nothing else matters with this outfit, as the red lip and stripe say it all.

White satchel to go with the stripe. 

Ok ok, so I said this outfit didn't need anything else, well I had to have a bag, so I went for my white satchel from Primark. I also wore some black tights, Topshop black Astrix boots as well as my Topshop faux leather jacket (old). 

I can't wait to wear this dress through the summer and get a lot of wear out of it! 

What I Wore: My Graduation

I have recently graduated from Southampton Solent University, with a 2:1 with BA Honours in Writing Fashion and Culture. Yay, now onto real life! I have to start sorting my life out - first off actually working out what I want to do 100% - wish me luck?

It took me a while to find an outfit for the big day, as it was late in the year I didn't know what the weather would be like so I waited till the last minute. I had an idea of what I wanted, and thankfully I managed to get exactly what I wanted.

The day was amazing, the weather was perfect, it was so sunny but also not baking hot, which I was glad of, so I didn't get too hot in my gown and mortarboard. 

The whole outfit was from New Look, which made it so much easier to find! I went for a midi skater skirt, which was gorgeous with a large graphic flower print all over it, which I absolutely love. For £22.99 it is an amazing price for such a gorgeous skirt. It is made from a scuba material and has a raw hem, which bothered me at first, however if there was a hem it wouldn't hang so nicely as it does.

I wore a black long sleeved crop top with it, which was £8.99, which fitted really nicely, and I showed a nice little bit of flesh, but not too much, as I wanted to look as sophisticated as I could...it wasn't easy! 

I also wore a pair of black ankle strap heels with it, which were £24.99, just for something simple and it was easier to walk in them - I knew they wouldn't slip off my feet and consequently I fall to the ground! 

Outfit - The Roll Neck

For a while now I've really liked the look of a roll neck - love a 60's vibe. I finally gave in, and bought one from River Island, what do you think?

I love the colour, it goes perfectly with my skin tone, and even more the polo neck doesn't look horrendous, which I was worried about. I just wore my black Jamie jeans, my black felt fedora and my Domino boots from Office. 

I bought the top from River Island for £15 and it also comes in brown, black, navy and grey. I prefer the purple/red to just add a bit of colour to my wardrobe, but I might pick up the navy one too. This is the beginning of me buying all my basics again as I haven't got many now and everyone really does need their basics! 

I wore my long gunmetal and sparkly necklace from Mint Velvet, and I think it adds to the outfit, without it, the outfit looks a bit old fashioned.

Outfit - Velvet Dreams

It's a jean kind of day today! My trusty black Jamie jeans from Topshop were on top form today, with a little roll up on my ankle, exposing a bit of skin on a surprisingly warm Autumn day!

I wanted to wear something a bit interesting so I went for my vintage GAP jacket, in a gorgeous bottle green velvet - perfection. I love the look of a soft velvet jacket, as it shimmers in the daylight.

I wore a top I bought from a stall in Camden Lock called Gold Kid London. I love it, and it was only a fiver! I am a huge fan of dream catchers so this was definitely the top for me!

I didn't want to wear a necklace that was too loud and flashy, so I went for this simple black rope necklace with three skull beads - perfect for the week of Halloween.

What I Wore: To a September Wedding

This weekend I attended the cutest wedding I've been to - like ever. The couple are lovely, the ceremony was cute, in a small church even the order of service was super adorable - complete with a tiny tissue attached just incase you were a little teary during the service.

The reception was equally beautiful, all done by the bride and her mother, and they really did think of everything it was amazing. Weddings are great. Onto what I wore...

It was a bit of a tricky one to dress for because of the time of year, a lot of the dresses in the shops are for winter, but at the moment it's actually quite warm outside. 

Leaving to the last minute I managed to pick up a dress I tried on in Topshop about a month ago. I instantly fell in love with this dress, and I was so glad when it was still in my local store!

This dress is perfection - the horizontal stripes in dark navy and white (a nod to nautical) along with tiny flowers across the dress, in light blue, dark navy and grey. The dress even has pockets and makes it feel like a casual dress, but it is also nice enough to wear it to formal occasions. 

I decided on some lovely accessories from New Look, first of all my clutch bag was £12.99 and has a beautiful colour block in white, light blue and black with a gold bar across the front. As it is a clutch it also has a gold shoulder strap hidden inside, which makes it great for other occasions when you don't want to hold onto your bag. 

I am loving New Look at the moment, for one they have just had a refit in my local store which I am so excited about getting some of my winter wardrobe in! Also their range of wide fit shoes has got so much better! You can now get so many different styles in a wide fit, which is a god send! 

I bought these chunky light blue shoes for £24.99 (also available in black!) and I didn't take them off all evening after dancing and standing on my feet all day, they didn't hurt at all! So well done New Look I applaud you! Along with the shoes and bag I also bought a set of bracelets for £4.99 - also from New Look. I also wore red nail varnish to add a colour pop to my outfit.

My boyfriend wore his Topman suit which is in a navy with a tiny bit of grey checked (tiny pattern - hardly able to see it in the photo). I think he's looking really smart.

This is what I wore when we went for Ice Cream the other day, fitting I know. It was so hot and I'm running low on summer clothes, this seemed the best thing to go with. 

I'm wearing a black maxi skirt, from New Look. It is so thin, which is good in hot weather because it flows when you walk, creating a (sort of) breeze. It also has pockets! Who doesn't love a skirt with pockets?

I paired it with a black stroppy top also from New Look £5.99. I love this camisole because it looks very basic from the front but it has a 'V' back. I have no idea which shop the skull necklace came from as it was my sisters but I'm sure you can find a version on eBay.

My trusty sunglasses are out again - Urban Outfitters. I absolutely adore this shape, it's unique and the size is perfect for my face, any smaller and it highlights my cubby cheeks!

Outfit- £5 Dress!

This is believe it or not, a £5 dress. Who knew? 

Primark seem to be doing so many of these at the moment, they have an 8 way fixture just full of skater dresses, all with different prints all for a fiver, in the one in Southampton. Uh-may-zing. 

The sun was a welcome sight this morning as I opened my blinds. It was really lovely to see a bright blue sky with just a few white clouds. 

So I decided I was going to wear a dress, which I don't often do to be honest. But I haven't been able to wear this one yet, so I thought it was time I whipped it out the wardrobe. Also I went for a lovely lunch with my Dad, at a gorgeous pub in the middle of the forest, so thought this outfit would do nicely. 

I thought I would wear a necklace with this dress, but I didn't want anything too 'in your face' so I went for this simple one. My boyfriend bought me this for my birthday back in December, I can't remember where he said he got it from, but it is so cute.

I also wore my new make up which includes L'oreal Foundation, Lancome mascara, Rimmel Stay Matte powder and Benefit blusher. Which I will be doing a review on as soon as I can get my uni work under control. Third year is hard.

Outfit - Daisy Print

Earlier this week I went into the newly refurbished Primark in Southampton, usually I can not find anything in there, but since they've made it actually nice to shop in, I found quite a few things! 

In with the bits I bought, was this shirt, which I adore, the cute daisy print is perfect and black is my thing. I love the monochrome look, I think it's really chic and it's just so easy to wear. 

The shirt was a mere £12, which is amazing for how it looks and it fits really nicely. 

I picked up a few more bits and then headed for New Look, as I found they do a really good dupe disco pant. As soon as I tried them on I fell in love. They are gorgeous. They look very similar to the original disco pants, without the pockets and they are quite thin. However they aren't so thin that pants are on show (pet hate when it comes to leggings!) and they fit gorgeously. I have turned up the ankles as they are quite long, but I am only 5' 2''.

These great dupes are only £22.99, and I only paid £20.69 (student discount is going to be missed when I finish uni!)

Outfit - Subtle Quilting

Urban Outfitters scarf, Topshop honeycomb sweater, Jamie Jeans Topshop, Astrix Boots Topshop and Owl necklace unknown

Currently doing uni work I thought I would upload my outfit from yesterday, when I went into town with my boyfriend to return some bits and buy some new tweezers (glamorous I know).

I decided to wear the new top I bought from Topshop, which is the Mulberry Honeycomb Sweat Tunic, it was £29 but with student discount made it down to £26, which is quite expensive but I adore it so much. I love the 3/4 length sleeves and the texture of the fabric, which is kind of a thin quilt (difficult to explain, but it's very nice!) It also has an exposed zip at the back which is about 3 inches long, which is a nice touch. So close to buying the other colours it comes in, but I might wait a little while so my bank balance doesn't suffer too much!

I also wore my scarf which I got from my boyfriend for Christmas, it is from Urban Outfitters, I love it so much and goes perfectly with this outfit!

The owl necklace was courtesy of my sister, she had a clear out of some of her jewellery and this is one of the pieces I got off of her. I think it completes my look nicely.

Velbon DF-51 tripod

Finally I used my tripod for the first time since getting it for Christmas, from my parents! It made taking these photos so much easier! Instead of it taking 30+ minutes it only took my about 15! I love it so much, can't wait till the summer when I can take photos outside with it.

Outfit

Favourite outfit of the week, so far. 

I decided to wear a skirt, which doesn't happen very often but sometimes it's nice to wear something different to jeans. Plus I put it with these dotty tights, which make any outfit a bit more interesting! 

I also wore my fedora for part of the day, until I put my coat on, as it got in the way. (I have a fur collar to my coat and it just caught on the hat - so annoying!)

But it looks nice as long as it's not too cold, so no coat needed. 

I added my scarf I bought from a market stall. I love the green and gold thread weaved through, it just adds a nice touch.
