Just another (two) week(s) #13

Hi everyone, long time no speak. Just to say sorry for the lack of posts these last few weeks, but thank you all for baring with me, I really appreciate it.
These last two weeks I've been throw into full time work at my current job, it's been a bit of a shock to my system, and finding a balance between work and play has proved to be difficult. Along with this we've been looking at houses to rent, and packing things away. Which is a pain when you've packed something that you need, but you can't remember which box it's in. But there you go, least I'm getting the packing done and not leaving it to the last minute.

1. The boyfriend and I waiting at Thorpe Park for friends that went on Stealth. (we were too scared too)
2. The Swarm at Thorpe Park.

3. Craig (my boyfriend) on the train to London on Monday to see The postal service at Brixton Academy.

4. Crazy floating man in covent garden, blew my mind!!

5, A Canadian pub in Covent Garden, with a nice cider to start the day (it was 3pm, we didn't start drinking in the morning)

6. Inside Brixton Academy, the blue lights are always awkward on Instagram. The gig was great though, we were sat in the circle, even though we thought we had standing tickets.

7. BEST DAD ALERT - he had made me sandwiches for Tuesday as I was getting home so late from London, he had also ironed my work clothes!

8. My mini haul from London, including two Topshop nail varnish, Ciaté nail kit and some lipstick which doesn't suit me! I thought it did in the shop, but unfortunately not.

9. Another new purchase, which are from the eBay shop Zerouv, they were about £15 which I think is a great price for such awesome sunglasses! Unfortunately when I got them through three of the small flowers had come off, but I'm going to superglue them back on. It must have been the huge journey that had to be on to get to me!

10. Craig at Carlos ices and tea rooms, which is the place to go if you want to eat the best ice cream you have ever tasted! It's in hampshire, in East Wellow...look it up if you want to go to it, highly recommended.

11. A photo of the sunburst from my phone looking upwards, I think it looks quite arty.

12. My ice cream waffle cone on the left, with Vanilla, mint choc chip and strawberry ice cream, then Craig's 1/2 a litre tub(!) on the right. (he ate it all!)

13. Craig and I on a bench outside after we had finished our ice creams.

14. My new mirror, which Craig bought me after we broke my mirror, whilst trying to paint it. We got it from Argos for £24.99 which isn't bad considering it is HUGE and goes well with the rest of my white furniture.

I will be trying to post some reviews on some products this week, I only have Monday and Saturday off so we shall see how that goes, might have to start using the schedule button.
Hope you're all ok!

Just another week #12

Hi everyone, a massive update for you all this week, seeing as I didn't manage to get a weekly post done last week! I've finished my second year of uni this week, which means I start full time work tomorrow. Yay I'll have some money! :)

Instagram Updates

From top left to the right

1. Black light at a party and I wear white, it looked pretty cool though.

2. The morning after, this was my hangover cure.

3.Sunglasses ...inside. I had my essay to do so I was stuck inside.

4. My view whilst doing my uni work

5. My Cornetto had a sombrero on! Simple things.

6. Went out to TGI's with the girls from uni, for our end of term meal.

7. Alabama Slammer at TGI's - YUM

8. New pinafore from New Look, haven't worn it yet though, as the day after I bought it, the weather went rainy again.

9. New shoes, from New Look, along with dotty Primark tights and a new look skater dress.

10. New shoes for work - shiny

11. Couldn't decide on what to wear, it was rainy, and windy and I was going for a Chinese. I settled on jeans in the end.

12. My car broke down again today! So I sat in the van whilst the AA man tried to fix my car, he didn't manage to, so my car is still broken. (Story of my life)

Just another week #11

Hi everyone! Sorry for the terrible photo above, I'm super tired, because I went to see Pink last night at the O2 Arena, London! (You probably guessed by my ticket in the photo)
It was the single most greatest gig I've ever been to. It feels wrong calling it a 'gig' it was more of a theatrical show. Pink really knows how to put on a performance, and you definitely get your money's worth.
I had the best time, and I can't wait until I'm able to go again, hopefully on her next tour.

So my week has to be pink themed of course, here it is...

1. Brownies! I realise now that that was in my last weeks, weekly post...woops. They are just so good.

2. My tattoo being sore, for some reason.

3. A super cute navy blue and white hearted pinafor from River Island. I was so tempted to buy this, but I'm going to wait till it gets put onto Asos, so I can get student discount on it...cheap skate I know!

4. Good things, body butter. Yum yum, it smells so good - review coming soon.

5. Went to the pub with my boyfriend, one of my best friends and her boyfriend. We had some lunch and sat out in the sunshine, it was lovely.

6. Saturday was spent sitting outside the O2 for 8 hours! But it was worth it, as me and my friends got to go into the golden circle in the arena! Eeeeeek.

7. Pink candy floss at Pink! Who knew? (shameless Pink song ref)

8. My friends and I at The Truth About Love tour - Pink. Best day of my life! I've loved her since I can remember and I was inches away from her, at one point I touched her arm, when she reached into the crowd. The show was amazing, like I said at the start of this post, I can't wait to go to one of her shows again.
Have any of you been to a show at the O2, how was your experience?

Here's a short video of Pink singing/swinging from the rafters...
Enjoy!
(it's not the best quality it's from my Iphone)

Just another week #10

Good evening everyone, how are you?
I'm sorry for my lack of blogging this week, I've been to London, I've had uni work to do and I've helped my parents clear out our loft, as we have now sold our house.
Scary.

My boyfriend and I went up to London on Tuesday to see the Bowie exhibition. It was a brilliant two days, and the exhibition at the V&A was amazing! If you've managed to get tickets, you're very lucky, because it has now sold out. I'm hoping they can extend it for a few more weeks, as I would definitely go again.

But here's my Instagram updates for this week-

1. Found this in the loft, amazing, it works out that we actually have two copies, I still remember when we got them! Definitely need to watch this one more time.

2. A vintage handbag and tapestry storage thing, both my mums, which were found in the loft. I twisted my mums arm and she let me have them both. I love the tapestry storage, I will probably use it for magazines and bits and bobs. I love the bag, it's blue suede - needs a clean, but it is charming.

3. The 'Sold' sign that turned up at my house on Tuesday morning.

4. Our hotel room for London, we stayed in the Umi hotel in Bayswater. I really recommend this hotel, it's a three star and only a ten minute walk from the tube station. The room was gorgeous, with a really comfy bed. Unfortunately there was building work going on in the morning so we were woken quite early, but it was probably a blessing, so we actually left the room on time!

5. My boyfriend and I <3

6. My boyfriend in TGI Friday's, drinking a bahama mumma

7. Me drinking a raspberry Daiquiri. Yum.

8. We went to The Gourmet Burger Kitchen on Frith Street in Soho, it was so yummy. Really gutted their isn't one in Southampton! They do a 4oz size, which is the perfect size for me, as I usually struggle with a normal size burger. So bravo GBK!

9. My boyfriend and I again, top image: kisses, bottom image: afterwards, there are no words except typical!

10. Craig on the train back home, he's reading some sort of magazine about Play Stations.

11. Budvar - posh Budwiser

12. BROWNIES! I made these yesterday, and they have nearly all gone!
I might do a 'how to' post on how I made these brownies later in the week.

I do still have some things to sell on my 'Blog Sale' page, if you would like anything, either email me or comment on the page and I'll get back to you.

I should be over all the butterflies but it's...Just another week #9

Hi everyone!
Hope your Sunday's are going well and you are all super relaxed ready for the week ahead.
My week has been a nice one, I went back to uni and now it's a race to get work finished for 'summer'. I am hoping to get mine done before the hand in date, but let's see how that fairs.

Here's the photo's from my week:

1. Outfit of the day, I'm wearing my new Primark midi tube skirt along with spotty tights, also from Primark. I did an outfit post on Tuesday, if you want to see the whole outfit, click here

2. On Tuesday I also got my hair cut at Rush Salon in Southampton, this is the before and after photo. I have tried to keep the curl in it, however I'm hopeless when it comes to blow drying, so I might have to invest in some curlers. (I also look super grumpy in the first photo, I was trying to be inconspicuous)

3. My first listen of Paramore's new album, love it. I have always been a huge fan of Paramore and I'm glad their come back album is as good as their last one (2009).

4. My new boots! I LOVE THESE BABIES! Sorry for the caps, but I saw these a few months back and knew I had to have them, but they were £85! Now I love tapestry (I've always wanted one of those 'old lady' bags), but I wasn't going to pay so much for some boots. However I walked in there by chance on Wednesday, and saw these beauties, for £47! I tried them on and they fit so well, I then charmed my way to 10% off, so thanks to the man in Office, I got these for £42.30!
(I am now on a clothes and accessories spending ban; let's see how long that lasts)

5. Which brings me nicely to this photo, I'm selling things! There is still stuff left, so let me know if you want anything :)

6. Prezzo on Wednesday night, for my boyfriend's brother's birthday. Really gorgeous food and of course I had a desert! Yum.

7. Talking of desserts, I made an apple crumble today. The first ever attempt at it and it was successful!
I was pretty impressed at how easy it is to make and of course how yummy it is!

8. I bought Paramore's album this morning and it's on repeat on my CD player. Hence the name of this post.

Just another week #8

It's Sunday and I have to go back to uni on Wednesday! Not that I actually have to go anywhere, or travel, it's only a 15 minute drive every morning but, it will be nice to get back into a proper routine again! Instead of waking up at 12pm and mooching around all day, not doing much.

So onto what's been happening this week:

1. This week has had it's ups and downs, first of all, I was sick on Tuesday, which wasn't great as I was going to book my tattoo on Tuesday. However I couldn't get out of bed - girl problems. Let's leave it at that.

2. Just an image from my blog, I entered the Passion for Fashion competition in association with money super market, you can read my entry here, and there is still time if you want to enter! Competition closes tomorrow at 12pm!

3. Me wearing my new Fedora! So glad I finally have one, read my outfit post on it here

4. A set of images from my Zara city office bag! Finally got my hands on it, I will be doing a 'what's in my bag' post later on this week, as well as a review of the bag itself.

5. Another image including my new bag, new hat and new Elle magazine. I thought it looked really cute.

6. Thatchers cider at the pub yesterday, with my parents. We had to get out of my house because we had a house viewing (we're selling our house), seeing as it was an actual spring day yesterday we decided to sit outside, and I had a pint of cider :)

7. When we got home I turned the TV on to see the Mannequin was being shown, Ok, it's not the best film, but to see Kim Cattrall not in Sex in the City is a novelty, and the fact it optimises the 80's I couldn't resist.

8. My Elle May edition, I was quite disappointed that they have not included their 'Elle Inspire' section this month, as I think it is a really nice feature to have in a magazine, which people buy to be inspired.
But you know maybe it will come back in next months issue.

I'm off to my boyfriends house tonight, to go out for the evening with his friends. Which will be a nice way to end the week.
How has everyone's weeks been?
On another note, I'm getting my hair cut on Tuesday and could do with some advice. I have no idea what I should do with my hair, what do you reckon?
It would be really helpful :)

Just another week #7

Happy Easter everyone!
Hope you're all having great weekends filled with chocolate and food! As you can see I've been filling my Easter with chocolate and cold and flu medicine, along with tissues. Least I've got the chocolate to make me feel better and less sorry for myself.
I also popped round my aunties house for a few hours, with my parents, it was nice to see everyone (minus my cousin Gabbie) and we chatted and gave them their long long overdue Christmas presents. I know; can it really be classed as a Christmas present if you give them in March? It was still lovely to see them though and they gave me some great tips on where to go on my upcoming London trip with my boyfriend.

So onto what's been going on this week, I've decided to put my photos into a different format, as it's easier that way!

1. My new top and necklace from Urban Outfitters sale; the top I adore, it was only £14! It's a tad too big but it's better than it being way too small. The necklace was £8 down from £18. I wouldn't have paid full price for this necklace, as it is very light and doesn't feel like it's worth £18 but I still really like it and it fits in well with my other jewellery.

2. Zara bag...wonder whats in there (post coming next week)

3. My boyfriend writing one of his last essays for uni - then we went out to Nando's for lunch and then had a nice evening in watching Game of Thrones (recently got into it, only on the first series)

4. Anti gay marriage leaflet that came through my door (was not happy about this, as I have many gay friends who I think should have the same rights as everyone else)

5. Slug and lettuce menu - with my boyfriend and the parents in Gunwharf Quays.

6. Gunwharf Quays dock - Had a lovely day in Gunwharf, mooching around the shops and finding the Cadbury shop and going a bit crazy.

7. Patisserie Valerie chocolate gateaux. I feel terrible saying it, but I really didn't enjoy this cake. I'm sure other cakes are lovely, but this chocolate one really didn't do it for me. I really wanted the cheesecake however they had just sold the last one - seconds before we got there! I'll have to go back and try it, hopefully it will be nicer than the gateaux.

8. Outfit of the day, Primark skirt, New Look top, Primark necklace, River Island boots. I wore this yesterday whilst hanging out with one of my best friends.

9. Drinks with friends in a terrible pub last night. - Terrible pub, the Guinness was served from a CAN! (Not that I drunk it, I'm not a fan of Guinness to be honest) We then ended up in a pub in Winchester; The Royal Oak, which was much nicer! I had half a pint of Aspell's cider, as I was driving.

How have you been?

Just another week #6

Hi everyone, I seriously need to get my butt into gear when it comes to blogging!
I will do some product reviews soon, seeing as I got paid this weekend, so I'll actually have some money to spend! Yay! So any beauty suggestions that you would like me to blog about/review, please let me know!

I started off this week getting used to being off of uni, I've finished for Easter, which means I have 3 weeks to catch up with all that uni work, I haven't done.

Monday I decided to finally read my Elle April edition! There was a really interesting article in it called 'Why life begins at 20' so I started off my week, scared sh*tless about my life! Brilliant.
To be fair it was a really good article and made me think about what I was going to do with my life, and I know that I really have to start getting work placements sorted and get my life in order.
That evening, I went out to the pub with two of my best friends and we chatted over fatty foods and of course we all had desserts!

Tuesday I decided I would create a 'work schedule' for my weeks off uni. Look at me being all organised! - not that I've done a lot of it on there, I'm an amazing procrastinator, however I have transferred the images of mannequins to my mac, so it's a start on today, at 5pm...

Found this poem in my bedroom drawer the other day, I think I was in year 5, so I was 9, I think?
I couldn't spell to save my life, I'm quite surprised my Dyslexia wasn't picked up earlier! (I was diagnosed with that and Dyspraxia this year, and yes I had to Google how to spell that)

Wednesday I went into town with my boyfriend, to pick up some Bi-annual magazines for one of my units at Uni. I have to analysis them, and my gosh I didn't realise how many times I would see a woman's nether regions! Even 'Pop' which looks like a 'Tween' magazine has naked ladies everywhere.  But you know, it's fine.

Then on Thursday I decided to do a bit of sketching - I haven't drawn since second year of college!
I am planning on getting a tattoo on my inside forearm, of some roses because they are so pretty. So here is my attempt at it, I am getting the tattooist to neaten it up though.

Friday I can't remember what I did, and Saturday and Sunday I was at work. Sunday being my Dad's birthday :) Happy Birthday Dad!

Best photo I have of my Dad. :)

Just another week #5

Hi everyone, hope you're all ok?
Just another weekly post, this time I'm wearing my work uniform, as I've been at work all weekend, and quickly took this post before I went to work this morning. It was pretty busy all weekend, which is always good in some ways, because the time goes so much quicker.

But back to the beginning of the week, it was my last week of uni until after Easter, so I was making sure I'm on the right track with my work, well most of it anyway. Difficult when you have to do so much and you don't get time to see your lecturers.

I started off my week by watching New Girl, I'm on America time at the moment, so I'm basically at the end of series two now, I love that show! Shocking and exciting, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone who watches it on English time.

Then on Tuesday, a terrible thing happened! I dropped my Lancôme waterproof mascara, down the back of my bed! It is so annoying as I can't get to it, unless I take my whole room apart, worst thing ever. Along with that I had to wait two hours to have a bath, because the hot water wasn't working. Tuesday's aren't my day.

This was Wednesday evening, I decided to watch P.S I love you, which is always a bad idea, because I always end up eating too much chocolate and crying into a huge box of tissues. However this time I had my cat Pickle to keep me company and when I started crying she gave me a cuddle! What a cutie.

Thursday I wore my brand new dress and went to Chiquto's, a mexican restaurant, with some of the girls from uni in the evening, to celebrate finishing for Easter.

Of course I had dessert! Consisting of honeycomb, vanilla and raspberry ice cream! Yum.
Friday was quite a busy day, me and the boyfriend went to see my sister, to help her with her photography work. I had to be a stand in 'model' so she could sort her lighting out for her Final Major Project for her Photography degree. It was fun and we also went for lunch at the Slug and Lettuce. Afterwards Craig and I went home and watched some of Comic Relief and ate junk food!

Also found out Google are taking away google reader, as many of you probably already know, so if you want to carry on following me past July 1st, then follow me via Blog Lovin' by clicking the link in the side bar. Thank you :)

How was everyone else's week?

Just another week #4

Hi everyone, I seem to be starting every weekly post the same at the moment; with I'm sorry. I haven't been able to do any blog posts this week, so I'm so grateful that you have all stuck with me!

I found out this week, that my house is now on the market! Which is scary, but exciting. We've had two house viewing this week, so all my family have been busy cleaning my house top to bottom.
Here's the 'for sale' sign that is currently outside my house.

Tuesday was a weird day, I waited for my boyfriend to finish uni, so I spent the time I had, sat in Costa. I had my Macbook on me, so I sat doing uni work with a vanilla latte and a raspberry and white chocolate muffin. I also had bought Bastille's debut album - Bad Blood. Which I highly recommend!

Then later in the week, I did some visual merchandising in one of my uni classes, which was fun. At one point I had to take off one of my shoes, feel the need to have a tartan scarf and fell out with a necklace (it was too big and annoying to use). I now need to do these photographs properly in a studio to put into my portfolio for my VM unit.

Here's me with natural hair; wavy. I wish it stayed like this more, as when I woke up in the morning it had just gone poofy!

Saturday was a nice day, we went into Southampton, to buy Mother's day gifts and then we went into Winchester. We sat by the cathedral where I took this photo, isn't it pretty! My boyfriend gets to graduate in this very building, the lucky sod!

In the evening we went for dinner, at Chimichanga's, a new restaurant in Eastleigh. It's so good, we had a sharing starter, with breaded Jalapeño's, chicken spring rolls, chicken wings and filled potato skins. Then for my main course, I had a pulled pork burrito with rice and kidney beans, yum yum yum.

I did have a dessert: mango and passionfruit cheesecake, because I love food! I ate it so quickly though I didn't get a photo of it.

Which leads me to today! Which was Mother's day. I decided to treat my mum, with a three course meal, including my very first attempt at a Tiramisu! It was surprisingly easy, and very tasty if I do say so myself!

This is my sisters photo (@jordantalulah) of the menu I made up, 'Come Dine with Me' style.

I hope my mum had a brilliant Mother's Day, here's the lovely lady on her birthday in September. Love you Mum.

Did all your mum's have a good mother's day?

How were your weeks?

Just another week #3 (Late I know)

Hi everyone!
Very busy week this week, found out that my parents are looking to sell the house, so it's all a bit all over the place at the moment. Also one of my cat's died this week, which was really sad and a shock as she was fine a few days before. This is a photo of her from a few weeks ago, bless her. Hopefully she wasn't in any pain.

So yeah, bit of a confusing week, so many things going on.
First off I went out with my sister on Tuesday, we went to her flat in Salisbury and also went for a cup of tea and piece of cake in a cute coffee shop called 'Boston Tea Party'.

It was really nice in there, with the exposed beams, real tea leaves, not tea bags! Also home made lemon drizzle cake, what more could you want?
We sat there for a good few hours and chatted about loads, it was really nice to have a proper catch up with her!

She spoilt me all day, it was really nice, she bought me some banana milk from M&S, cooked me a beautiful (but very spicy) chilli. She also gave me a bowler hat, which you may have seen in my outfit post the other day.
Here it is again...

Uni was a blur, a lot of things to remember and a deadline on Wednesday.
I was working on Saturday, it was really busy so when I got home, I got into my pyjama's and led on the sofa eating chocolate and watching TV. Such a rocking Saturday night!

Yesterday was another exciting day, as I was cleaning my room... whilst sifting through some things I came across my Harry Potter book, Craig bought me a few years ago.

I had a look through it again, and realised it contained the letter Harry gets from Hogwarts, and also a smaller version of the Marauder's Map! I was sat there for a good hour looking through the book.
(Harry Potter nerd right here)

In the evening, I went to the pub with a few of my friends, which was really nice. I love it when we hang out, it's great. We just sit and talk about everything from mature stuff like jobs/careers, to the most immature things. It's brilliant.
My skin has been a right pain this week, as well! My face has just broken out in a few blemishes, it's horrible. I don't know why either, whether my skin has decided my diet is wrong or the products I've been using are not working as they did before. Any suggestions?

So yeah a very busy week and a late post about it, sorry!
How was your week?

Just another week #2

Hi everyone, I know I'm being terrible with blogging at the moment, there's a lot of things going on at the moment, and it's taking my mind of everything including my uni work -which isn't ideal but it's the way it is.
I have done some work today though which I'm happy about - yay, finally! I've also been looking at jobs on the web, about magazine page layouts, but not sure what ones are the right ones..need to talk to my lecturers when I have time.
So this week, has been another busy one, with a trip to London to see an exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum and general scan of all the shop windows, for my VM unit at uni, on Tuesday.
The exhibition was about the designers that made a lot of the Royal outfits in the 29th Century, which were mainly couture pieces. It was a good exhibition with two main rooms and was only £5 to get in with a student card, so that was good.

Here is one of the wedding dresses from the exhibition, a gorgeous silk and organza wedding gown, with a silver corded lace bodice and appliqués. Designed by Norman Hartnell.

After the exhabition we were hungry, so we decided to find a resturant, on our way to Covent Garden we found a Zizzi's. I'd never been there before, and it was so good!

We even managed to get a free glass of Prosecco!

When the food came, I was starving. We had garlic bread to start which had cheese and caramelised onion on top, it was delicious. I also ordered a calzone, with chicken, meatballs and spices in, which was so good.

We then went down oxford street, where I went into Selfridges for the first time! I know I couldn't believe I'd never been in there. I also managed to come out with something, from the MAC counter. I've never bought anything from MAC but I've always wanted to, so I bought my first ever eyebrow pencil, in Fling. It was only £12.50 and apparently lasts for ages, which is always a good sign. I'll do a review sometime next week, promise!

One of my cats, what a cutie!

My dog; Millie, then got jealous.

I bought myself a desk from Argos (£39.99), on Wednesday because I was getting my Macbook delivered the next day. Eeeek!

My Macbook arrived! I love it, I finally have my own laptop and don't have to use my mum's to do my uni work! I can use it whenever I want which is brilliant. This gives me an extra incentive to get my uni work done!
What have you been up to this week?
x
